The application for both the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 academic years are open, however, most grades are at capacity and new applicants will be added to grade-level waitlists. We do currently have openings in our 11th and 12th grades. Our waitlists do not carry over from year to year, so interested applicants are encouraged to reapply for enrollment in 2024-2025. Applying during the Enrollment Lottery window, from Novmeber 1, 2024 – January 31, 2025 at 4pm ensures that your student’s application is in our mid-February Enrollment Lottery. Questions? If your student is offered enrollment, we will do what we can to make sure you feel informed to be able to make that decision. For new enrolling students, we have onboarding sessions to smooth the transition to attending and for incoming kindergarten families, we have a series of events to welcome the new class of 2037!

As a free Minnesota public charter school, we have a free and easy online application here as well as a paper version in the main office that we will enter for you into our application database. We have an “on-time application window” from November 1 at 8 AM – to January 31 at 4 PM every year for the following year’s enrollment. We process all these on-time applications and run a 3-tiered lottery on them in mid-February for openings and for the ordering of the grade-level waitlists. The three (3) tiers are:

1. Siblings of currently enrolled students

2. Children of current staff

3. General applicants

Lottery results are available in the application portal and are emailed out. After the lottery, we do accept applications and make offers where space allows or add applicants to waitlists in the order their applications were received. As we run at capacity in most grades, we are only able to offer out spots when a currently enrolled student unenrolls; then, we pull from the waitlists. These waitlists do not carry over from year to year. Applicants must reapply for each new academic year. We are not currently hosting tours, but we do have a virtual tour on our website, as well as information about our educational program and extracurriculars on our website. As we make plans for the upcoming enrollment season in the fall, refer back to this website for updates on information events.
