Why I choose to work at Nova
I believe that education can make the world a better place. I am committed to Nova because it believes not only in creating a well-educated person, but a good person. Nova’s vision of a classical education will pave the way for our students to face the world and make it the place we all wish it could be.
Fencing, guitar, reading.
I live in St. Paul with my wife of many years, Jill. I am originally from Cleveland, but have lived in Oregon, Maryland, Florida, and spent a year at University College, Oxford in England.
Favorite author/thinker/historical figure (and why)
My favorite author is John Donne, a 17th century poet and preacher. His works are highly intelligent, witty, and he challenges me to ponder our place on earth.
“This above all: to thine own self be true. And it must follow as the night the day: thou canst not then be false to any man.” -Hamlet, I.iii
