Help us raise $20,000 for Nova’s Outdoor Spaces during the
2016 SweeTen Spring Appeal Week!
The Ask: We can only reach our $20,000 goal with your help. Make your tax-deductible donation by clicking on the “Donate” button above or delivering a check made out to Nova to the Nova office with “Sweeten” in the memo line. Also please forward a link to this page to anyone interested in supporting Nova. Watch for emails, fundraising updates, surprises, prizes and treats all throughout the week! We’ve worked hard to create this match opportunity and we hope you will help with your donation. Every dollar counts. Every dollar becomes two. Every donation makes Nova stronger!
Why we are asking parents to help: As a charter school, we can’t raise money through a tax levy like traditional school districts. Asking parents to pitch in is the only way to secure all of the classroom, building, and outdoor space needs for our students and school.
Why support the improvement of Nova’s outdoor spaces: Every single Nova student uses the school’s outdoor spaces, whether for recess, PE class, Scholar Zone, sports, end-of-year Olympics or Ascot Day, or required emergency drills. The wear and tear of more 900+ students using our outdoor green spaces each day is significant. Drainage issues can make Nova’s fields too wet for use following rain. And our current space is riddled with stones, dips, and holes that make it a potentially unsafe place for our scholars to run and play. With a donation to the 2016 SweeTen for our spring fundraising campaign, you will be investing in the safety and joy of all of every student and scholar!
Sweeten is a parent-led fundraiser held every April. Since 2012, Sweeten has raised more than $50,000 for Nova technology, arts, and athletics!
