2018 Nova Board Elections

 

Each year approximately 1/3 of the current Nova board membership of 11 is up for election.  This year four seats are up for election:

  • 2 parent seats: both for a three-year term
  • 1 teacher seat: for a three-year term
  • 1 community member seat: for a three-year term

 

All terms begin on July 1, 2018, and end on June 30, 2021.

 

By state statute, the eligible voters in charter school elections are (1) parents/legal guardians of currently enrolled Nova Students, (2) faculty/staff currently employed at Nova, and (3) community members serving on Nova’s Board of Directors at the time of the election.

The 2018 Nova Board Election process will conclude with the announcement of election results at the regular Board Meeting on May 21st. Throughout this website, you will find a number of resources to familiarize eligible voters and the community with the election and nomination process, the candidates themselves (after the Governance Committee meeting on April 9), and important dates.
