Early Kindergarten Admission
Parents seeking enrollment for children that will turn five years old after September 1 need to complete and submit all Nova Classical Academy’s Early Kindergarten Admission requirements by the on-time application deadline (typically the last Friday in January).
Nova typically receives more applications than places available in most grades each year. As a result, we hold an electronic grade-level lotteries in early February following the close of “on-time enrollment” at 4.00pm on January 31st, 2017. These lotteries generate waiting lists from which offers of enrollment are made.
According to Minnesota law governing charter schools, preference for enrollment is given to siblings* of currently enrolled Nova students. Children of Nova employees are also given preference for enrollment. Enrollment lotteries conducted each year automatically place Nova sibling applicants in the first tier of the waiting list and Nova staff children in the second tier of the waiting list, with general applicants following.
Every effort is made to notify families of waiting list numbers or offers of enrollment by the second week of February.
Please take time to explore our website for more information on Nova Classical Academy and the enrollment process. Thank you!
* Sibling status is granted to biological or legal siblings of Nova students on the day the newly enrolled Nova student begins attending classes at Nova Classical Academy.
