Hobbies/Interests

I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, Twins baseball, yoga, tennis, and spending time with family and friends.

Family

I am lucky to have numerous family members including my parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents who live within 5 miles of me. I became an aunt and a godmother this summer when my sister had her first child. She and her husband live in Manhattan. The birth of my nephew now gives my entire family a big excuse to visit the Big Apple as often as possible. In addition to being close to my immediate family, my fiance and I look forward to starting a family of our own.

Favorite author/thinker/historical figure (and why)

Artemisia Gentileschi (1593-1652) – an Italian painter, depicted women in her paintings who were not helpless or demure, but strong and powerful.

Personal motto

“If I do not speak in a language that can be understood there is little chance for a dialogue.” -bell hooks
