Why I choose to work at Nova

I choose to teach at Nova because I also believe that students need to learn not for school but for life. I hope that I can play a part in creating the great thinkers of tomorrow. My goal as a teacher is to give students the self confidence needed to embrace new challenges.

Hobbies/Interests

I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, traveling to Minnesota’s NorthShore and reading a good mystery.

Family

I have been married for 20 years to my husband Jon and we have an 11 year old daughter named Anna.

Favorite author/thinker/historical figure

My favorite historical figure is Melba Pattillo Beals. She was one of the Little Rock Nine who integrated Central High School. If you read ”Warriors Don’t Cry” you will see strength in a fifteen year old that is beyond belief. She endured pain in order to help future generations.

Personal Motto

I believe what Anne Frank said.

“Everyone has inside of him a piece of good news. The good news is that you don’t know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is! ”

Anne Frank
